15 Greyhounds Earn Landmark Men’s Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference Honors; Baumann & Staff Named Coaching Staff of the Year
TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field team had 15 student-athletes honored by the Landmark Conference for their performances at the 2026 Landmark Outdoor Championships last weekend hosted by Juniata College.
TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field team had 15 student-athletes honored by the Landmark Conference for their performances at the 2026 Landmark Outdoor Championships last weekend hosted by Juniata College.
The Greyhounds won their 11th Landmark Conference title, finishing 36.5 points ahead of Susquehanna University, and it is Moravian’s first title since 2019. The Blue & Grey had 15 student-athletes earn 24 All-Conference honors.
Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jesse Baumann and his assistants - Jonathan D'Ottavio (throws), Vance Clark (jumps), Beth Ann Davies (pole vault), Ryan Harper (throws), Sean McFarland (sprints), David Scheck (hurdles) and Natalie Stabilito (distance) - were named the 2026 Landmark Conference Men’s Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year. It marks the sixth time that Baumann and his staff have won the honor for the men’s outdoor season.

"Winning the Landmark Conference Championship and earning Staff of the Year honors is a testament to their consistency, leadership, and commitment to student-athlete success. This program has set the standard for sustained excellence, and this achievement is yet another reflection of that legacy.”
The men’s program had three student-athlete earn Landmark All-Conference First Team as conference champions in their events including senior Jacob Fenstermaker for winning the 100-meter dash, sophomore Marcus Morales for capturing the javelin for the second straight year and graduate student Kyle Weiss for winning the long jump in his first season competing in the event.
Moravian had 16 All-Conference Second Team honorees on the men’s side with Fenstermaker finishing as the runner-up in both the long jump and the 200-meter dash. Fentermaker and Weiss were joined by sophomores Delferson Contreras and Owen Smith as the runner-up in the 4x100-meter relay while Weiss, Contreras and Smith were joined by freshman Ramses Valera to take second in the 4x400-meter relay. Junior Anthony Morillo was the runner-up in both the hammer throw and the discus while junior Gavin Hefferan placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Freshman Justin Nunes took second in the triple jump while freshman Jeremiah Peguero finished second in the javelin and freshman Jayden Walls was second in the high jump.
The Greyhounds had five third place finishers named Honorable Mention All-Conference with Morillo taking third in the shot put. The group also included sophomore Julius Reyes in the discus, senior Bryan Kerchner in the 1,500-meter run, freshman Brady McKenna in the pole vault and junior Mael Tshiyonga in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Monday, May 11 at the Widener University Last Chance Meet.
