Greyhounds Drop Tight Match to NCAA DII East Stroudsburg to Begin Spring Season
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis team opened the spring portion of the 2024-25 season with a 5-2 setback to NCAA Division II East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in a non-conference match played in Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse Saturday.

How It Happened
- The Warriors won two of the three doubles contests to earn the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. The Greyhounds' third doubles squad of sophomore Sydney Shifman and freshman Jenna Gower won their match by a 6-2 score
- East Stroudsburg earned victories in the first two singles contests to end while junior Izzy Szmodis posted a 4-6, 7-6 (10-8), 1-0 (10-8) win at second singles to cut the deficit to 3-1. The Warriors clinched the winning team point with a triumph at fourth singles while freshman Ali Willis recorded a 6-1, 6-3 victory at fifth singles to make it 4-2.
