Greyhounds Clinch Berth in Landmark Conference Tournament with Win at Juniata
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis team clinched a berth in the 2025 Landmark Conference Tournament with a 6-1 win at Juniata College Friday.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds won two of the three doubles matches to claim the point for doubles play. The duo of sophomores Ali Bender and Sydney Shifman posted a 6-1 win at third doubles while junior Izzy Szmodis and sophomore Leah Zolotareva had a 6-3 victory at first doubles. The tandem of freshmen Nicole Kalorin and Ali Willis fell 7-6 (12-10) at second doubles
- Moravian captured five of the six singles matches to earn the victory. Juniata evened the score at 1-1 with a three-set win at first singles while Shifman recorded a 6-2, 6-4 triumph at third singles to put the Blue & Grey back on top. Szmodis had a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 victory at second singles while Bender clinched the winning team point with a 6-0, 6-3 win at sixth singles. Kalorin won 7-5, 6-2 at fourth singles while Willis had a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) triumph at fifth singles to close out the contest
- The Hounds, who remained undefeated in Landmark Conference action this season, have clinched their eighth straight tournament appearance, and Moravian has played in the last five conference championship matches
