Greyhounds Fall to Scranton in 2025 Landmark Conference Championship Match
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- The top seeded Moravian University women’s tennis team fell to third seed The University of Scranton, 4-2, in the 2025 Landmark Conference Championship match played indoors at the Central PA Tennis Center Sunday.

How It Happened
- The Royals won two of the three doubles matches to clinch the doubles point for a 1-0 edge. The Hounds' first doubles squad of junior Izzy Szmodis and sophomore Leah Zolotarva earned a 6-4 win
- The Greyhounds evened the score at 1-1 when sophomore Ali Bender recorded a 6-1, 6-3 victory at sixth singles, and freshman Nicole Kalorin posted a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at fourth singles to put Moravian up 2-1
- Scranton registered straight sets wins at first, second and fifth singles to capture the title while the third singles match was left unfinished after the Royals reached the four points needed to win
- Moravian made its sixth straight appearance in the Landmark Conference Championship match and tenth overall since the conference began in 2027-08. The Blue & Grey are now 4-1 versus Scranton in Landmark Conference title contests and 5-5 all-time in the Landmark Conference championship match
