Leonard Named Landmark Field Athlete of the Week Again
TOWSON, Md. --- Senior Micah Leonard of the Moravian College women's outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
TOWSON, Md. --- Senior Micah Leonard of the Moravian College women's outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Leonard won the triple jump at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational with an ECAC qualifying distance of 11.64 meters (38 feet, 2 ¼ inches), a distance that is fifth on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list that will have the top 22 individuals and top 16 relay teams at the end of the season in each event heading to the NCAA Division III National Championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The distance is the seventh best leap in school history.
Leonard, who was honored as the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, also placed fourth in the long jump at 5.02 meters (16 feet, 5 ½ inches).
Moravian will return to action when it hosts the Annual Coach P Open at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field on Friday, April 12th at 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 13th at 10:00 a.m.
