Leonard Named Landmark Field Athlete of the Week for 3rd Straight Week
TOWSON, Md. --- Senior jumper Micah Leonard of the Moravian College womn's track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week for her performance last week.
TOWSON, Md. --- Senior jumper Micah Leonard of the Moravian College women's track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week for her performance last week.
Leonard won long jump at Moravian's own non-scoring Coach P Open with an ECAC qualifying distance of 5.60 meters (18 feet, 4 ½ inches), a distance that is 11th on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list that will have the top 22 individuals and top 16 relay teams at the end of the season in each event heading to the NCAA Division III National Championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Leonard was also the runner-up in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 11.53 meters (37 feet, ten inches), a distance that would be tenth on the TFRRS list but Leonard is already sixth in the event.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 19th and 20th when the host the Greyhound Invitational at the Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field.
