Leonard Sets School Mark Again in Triple Jump at York Twilight
YORK, Pa. --- Senior Micah Leonard broke her own school record to lead the Moravian College women's track & field team at the non-scoring York College of Pennsylvania Twilight Meet Thursday evening.
YORK, Pa. --- Senior Micah Leonard broke her own school record to lead the Moravian College women's track & field team at the non-scoring York College of Pennsylvania Twilight Meet Thursday evening.
Leonard moved her record past 40 feet for the first time in school history with a Graham Field, an ECAC qualifying mark and Landmark Conference record of 12.34 meters (40 feet, six inches), a distance that moves her to third on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list that will have the top 22 individuals and top 16 relay teams at the end of the season in each event heading to the NCAA Division III National Championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Leonard also won the long jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 5.46 meters (17 feet, 11 inches) while freshman Christelle Reglas was fourth at 4.77 meters (15 feet, 7 3/4 inches).
Sophomore Hailey Kester won the pole vault with a career best and ECAC qualifying height of 3.71 meters (15 feet, 5 1/2 inches), a height that moves her into a tie for tenth on the TFRRS list.
On the track, freshman Corinne Glass was second in the 200-meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 26.28 seconds, and Glass was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.00 seconds.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action at the Swarthmore College Last Chance Meet on Monday, May 13th starting at 4:00 p.m. being hosted by Widener University.
