Where did the team travel this summer?
- This summer our team got the amazing opportunity to travel to Prague (Czech Republic), Vienna (Austria), and Budapest (Hungary), where we played against some good competition.
Please describe your trip.
- Our trip was one that each of us is going to remember for a lifetime. Not only were we able to play together in different parts of the world, but we also got the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the cultures of the countries we visited. We went on walking and bike tours, ate delicious foods, and saw beautiful views at every turn.
Explain the chance of getting to travel with your teammate abroad.
- This trip was so great for our team because not only did it give us a remarkable experience, but it also served its role in building our team chemistry. Being off the court with each other and experiencing these new cultures as not just teammates but friends was unforgettable. We definitely made some memories we will never forget.
What made this experience appealing to you?
- The idea of playing the game I love with some of my favorite people while experiencing a new culture for a few days was so appealing to me. I had been looking forward to this trip for 2 years, planning different things I wanted to do in each place, and it was so cool to see those ideas and plans turn into reality.
How does this experience relate to your career or life aspirations? What were you looking to personally get out of it?
- I have always loved traveling and have wanted to see as many places as possible. Personally, I was looking to get an experience that I would be able to look back fondly on with my teammates and closest friends. I wanted an unforgettable experience.
How has your athletics career prepared you for this experience?
- My athletics career prepared me for this experience of playing abroad because I have played against a variety of different teams at different skill levels. It was cool to actually play in the places that these players were from because that added another level of cultural immersion.
What are you looking forward to for this upcoming year for your sport?
- I'm looking forward to every aspect of the season because as a result of this trip, I could see the team chemistry and how much we have grown together. I think we have so much potential to be very successful, and everyone has been putting in the work to contribute to a great season that we can hopefully all be proud of. I am excited to represent Moravian for the third year and look forward to seeing how this team grows even more this season.
Is there anything else you are looking forward to this summer outside of this experience?
- For the rest of the summer., I am looking forward to enjoying the beautiful weather, time at the beach, and some time with family before we all head back to school. I am looking forward to this semester at school and for the basketball season ahead. Go Hounds!!
