How It Happened
- The Cardinals scored the first points of the game while sophomore guard Ellie Wallbillich hit a three-pointer to give the Blue & Grey an early 3-2 edge. Catholic answered with a 14-2 run to build a 16-5 lead. Wallbillich ended the run with a three-pointer, and the Hounds countered with a 10-0 run to get within a point at 16-15 after a free throw by sophomore guard Kylie Cabana with 2:12 left in the first quarter. The Cardinals ran off 11 straight points before junior guard Lizzie Lustig had two late free throws to cut the Catholic edge to 27-17 after ten minutes of action
- Senior guard Juliana Vassallo sank a three-pointer to begin the second quarter, and the Greyhounds moved within five points at 33-28 on two free throws from Wallbillich at the 5:38 mark. The Cardinals stretched out their lead and hit a late three-pointer to take a 46-32 edge into the intermission
- Catholic stretched its advantage to 69-43 after 30 minutes of action, and the Cardinals maintained the lead throughout the fourth quarter as well
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had three players score in double digits led by Wallbillich tossing in 14 points to go with four rebounds
- Lustig and Vassallo each netted 12 points with Lustig grabbing four boards and Vassallo adding two rebounds, two assists and two steals
- Cabana finished with seven points, two boards, two steals and two assists while senior guard Jayda Cartagena had four points and two boards
- Sophomore guard Megan Elias and freshman guard Abby Hayes each had two points with Elias registering three assists and two rebounds while sophomore forward Kate Donaldson grabbed four boards
- Junior forward Bellisima Lew had one points for the Blue & Grey
- The Hounds were 19-for-53 from the floor (35.8 percent), 5-for-20 on three-pointers and 11-for-14 at the foul line
