Moravian’s Steffen & Cummiskey Named to Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball 2025-26 Scholar-Athlete Team
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior Grace Steffen and senior Liam Cummiskey of the Moravian University basketball teams have been named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team for the 2025-26 season.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior Grace Steffen and senior Liam Cummiskey of the Moravian University basketball teams have been named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team for the 2025-26 season.
The Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization is made up of the six small college schools in the Lehigh Valley including NCAA Division II schools East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and NCAA Division III schools Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Moravian University and Muhlenberg College.
Steffen, a junior forward for the Greyhounds, has helped the Moravian women to a 7-13 record including a 5-8 slate in Landmark Conference action as. This winter, she has averages of 5.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest, and Steffen has started 17 games and contributed 22 steals, 19 blocked shots and seven assists. She has 312 points, 320 rebounds, 49 steals, 38 blocked shots and 21 assists in 44 career contests with 38 starts after missing her sophomore season with an injury, and Steffen is maintaining a 3.71 GPA while majoring in business marketing with a minor in graphic design.
"Grace has been a leader on and off the court the moment she stepped onto campus as a freshman. Her drive on the basketball court is high, but Grace understands that academics comes first and this drive to succeed in the classroom is even higher," commented Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk. "This is a well-deserved honor for Grace and I know she will continue to perform at a high level in and out of the classroom. I am very proud of Grace and all of her accomplishments."
Joining Steffen on the Scholar-Athlete Team are Ella Bincarosky of Cedar Crest, Mia Fitzgerald of Muhlenberg, Mackenzie Gordos of DeSales, Leila Hurley of Kutztown and Lacie Kringe of East Stroudsburg.
Cummiskey, a senior forward, has been a key starter for the Greyhounds this season, helping Moravian to an 13-7 overall mark and a 7-6 slate in the Landmark Conference. He is averaging 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this winter, and Cummiskey also has 35 assists, 32 three-pointers, 15 steals and ten blocked shots this season. In his career, Cummiskey has contributed 347 points, 218 rebounds, 84 assists, 80 three-pointers, 33 steals and 24 blocked shots in 77 games with 20 starts. Cummiskey is majoring in sports management with a minor in communications while earning a 3.23 GPA.
"Being named a Lehigh Valley Small College Scholar-Athlete is a reflection of Liam's commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom," stated Interim Head Coach Michael Mayes. "We are extremely proud of Liam and his accomplishments in the classroom, as he represents everything we value in our program; discipline, accountability, and a relentless work ethic."
Joining Cummiskey on the Scholar-Athlete Team are Omari Banks of Kutztown, Liam Gorman of Muhlenberg, Will Meeker of DeSales and Jalen Pichardo of East Stroudsburg.
