Kelly & Ratcliff Net Career Highs & Greyhounds Score Program Record 120 Points in Double Overtime Win at Immaculata

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds opened the scoring with a three-pointer from senior forward Marquis Ratcliff, and the Blue & Grey were up 5-2 before the Mighty Macs netted five points to move ahead 7-5. Trailing 9-7, Moravian went on an 8-0 run with a three-pointer from senior guard Porter Kelly giving the Hounds a 15-9 edge with 13:57 to play in the first half. The Greyhounds stretched the advantage to 29-18 on a putback shot from senior guard Chad Kratzer midway through the half
- Ratcliff added a three-point play while senior forward Liam Cummiskey hit a jumper to give Moravian a 16-point lead at 34-18 with nine minutes on the clock. Junior guard George Cutler drained a jumper for a 38-22 advantage at the 7:11 mark. Immaculata countered with a 22-6 run to knot the contest at 44-44 with 1:16 to go in the first half. Cummiskey connected on a three-pointer, and Ratcliff hit a jumper before the Mighty Macs banked in a three-pointer at the buzzer to cut the Hounds' edge to 49-47 at the intermission
- Kelly began the second half with a jumper for the Blue & Grey while Immaculata tied the game again at 57-57 at the 15:22 mark before Racliff scored on a dunk 16 seconds later to put the Greyhounds back on top. Kelly drilled a pair of three-pointers to make the score 70-60 for Moravian while the Mighty Macs ran off seven straight points to get back within 70-67 with just under ten minutes left in the half
- Ratcliff connected on back-to-back baskets and a steal and lay-up from Cummiskey pushed the Greyhounds edge back to nine at 76-67. Immaculata slowly closed the gap before taking an 81-80 lead on a three-pointer with 4:33 on the clock. Kratzer gave the Hounds the lead back with a lay-up while the Mighty Macs scored two baskets for an 85-82 edge with 3:39 to go. Immaculata was up 90-86 before Kelly hit a three-pointer with 1:30 to play to get Moravian within a point. Senior guard Colin Farrell hit two free throws to give the Blue & Grey a 91-90 and Kratzer added a pair of free throws for the 93-90 edge while the Mighty Macs hit a three-pointer to force overtime
- Ratcliff hit two early baskets to start overtime and give the Hounds a 97-93 lead. Ratcliff added two free throws and Kelly had a driving lay-up to make the edge 101-96 with just under two minutes to play. Junior forward Riley Flood hit a lay-up for a 103-100 lead while Immaculata tied the contest at 103-103 with 37 seconds left to force a second overtime
- Sophomore guard Dylan Costa connected on a pair of free throws to give Moravian a 105-103 lead to start the second extra session. Kelly stretched the advantage to 109-104 with a three-point play with just under four minutes on the clock, and Kelly's fifth three-pointer of the night had the Hounds up 114-108 with 1:57 to go. Costa made it 117-109 with a driving lay-up while a free throw from Farrell had the Blue & Grey on top 118-112 with 35 seconds left. The Mighty Macs connected on a three-point play and a three-pointer to knot the contest at 118-118 with eight seconds to go. Cummiskey hit the winning basket with a driving lay-up with under two seconds to go, and then he blocked the final three-point attempt from Immaculata to preserve the victory
- The double-overtime game was the second straight for the Greyhounds to start the 2025-26 season, and the 120 points passed the school record of 117 set at Drew University during the 1968-69 season
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had just three players in double figures despite scoring a school record 120 points. Ratcliff tossed in a career high 41 points, the fifth highest single game total in program history, and he added 12 rebounds and six assists as Ratcliff recorded his second straight double-double of the season and the 29th double-double of his career
- Kelly netted a career best 32 points to go with eight rebounds, four assists and a career high five steals while hitting five three points
- Kratzer scored 17 points to go with four assists and four boards while Cummiskey finished with nine points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots
- Costa had six points and four assists off the bench while Flood posted five points and two boards. Junior guard Joel Baez contributed four points and three rebounds while Farrell and Cutler both had three points and two assists with Farrell grabbing eight rebounds and Cutler adding two boards
- The Hounds shot 48-for-93 from the field (51.6 percent), 9-for-31 beyond the three-point line, 15-for-26 at the foul line
- Moravian held a 52-49 edge on the boards
