Moravian Holds Off Susquehanna for Key Landmark Conference Victory

How It Happened
- The River Hawks scored the first six points of the game before senior forward Marquis Ratcliff got the Hounds on the scoreboard with a jumper two and a half minutes into action. Susquehanna pushed its lead out to seven points at 11-4 while the Blue & Grey countered to get within two points at 13-11 at the 13:25 mark on a jumper from sophomore guard Dylan Costa
- Susquehanna held a 16-11 lead with 12:27 left in the first half when Moravian went on an 11-0 run to take a 22-16 edge on a three-pointer by senior guard Chad Kratzer with 8:50 to go. The Greyhounds eventually stretched the lead out to nine points at 36-27 on another jumper from Ratcliff while a jumper by freshman guard Nico Pulieri sent the Hounds to the intermission up 42-34
- In the second half, Moravian saw its lead reach double digits at 47-37 as Kratzer sank two free throws at the 15:28 mark. The River Hawks closed within three points on three occasions with the final time at 63-60 with just under five minutes remaining. The Hounds led by as many as 11 points at 72-61 on a three-pointer from Ratcliff with 2:25 to go as the Blue & Grey were in control the rest of the way
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had a pair of players net double figures with Kratzer scoring a game-high 26 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocked shots
- Ratcliff contributed his seventh double-double of the season and 34th of his career with 22 points and ten rebounds, and he posted a career-best seven blocked shots to become the first player in program history to reach 200 career blocks, now with 205
- Costa tossed in nine points to go with two assists while junior guard Joel Baez had seven points, six boards and a pair of assists
- Senior forward Liam Cummiskey grabbed a career-high ten rebounds to go with four points while junior guard/forward Riley Flood also posted four points to go with two rebounds
- Sophomore guard JJ Kolumber recorded four rebounds, three points and two assists while Pulieri had two points and two boards
- The Hounds were 28-for-61 (45.9 percent) from the field, 7-for-29 on three-pointers and 14-for-22 at the foul line
