Greyhounds Score 56 Points in Second Half of Non-Conference Win over King’s
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s basketball squad scored 56 points in the second half on the way to a 94-67 non-conference victory over visiting King’s (Pa.) College in Johnston Hall Saturday.

How It Happened
- The Monarchs scored the first five points of the game before the Greyhounds got on the scoreboard on a three-point play from senior guard Chad Kratzer just over four minutes into action. King's scored the next seven points for a 12-3 edge before senior guard Porter Kelly scored a lay-up. The Monarchs pushed the lead to 12 points at 19-7 with 11:17 left in the first half
- Trailing 19-12 with less than ten minutes to go in the opening half, Moravian went on a 17-2 run that Kratzer capped with a three-pointer to give the Blue & Grey a 29-21 advantage with 5:38 on the clock. King's made it a three-point game at 32-29 while the Greyhounds headed to the intermission with a 38-31 lead
- The Monarchs began the second half with an 8-2 run to pull within a point at 40-39 just under two minutes into the half. Junior guard Joel Baez drained a three-pointer to put the Hounds up four points at 43-39 and start an 11-4 run to build a 51-44 edge. The Blue & Grey pushed the advantage into double digits at 57-46 on a three-pointer by junior guard George Cutler with 11:51 on the clock
- The Greyhounds slowly extended the lead throughout the remainder of the contest as the squad connected on 11-of-22 three-pointers in the second half
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had four players score in double digits led by Baez, who tied his career high with 23 points to go along with five rebounds and two assists
- Kelly finished with 19 points, three board and three assists while Kratzer had 17 points, three assists, three steals and a pair of rebounds
- Senior forward Marquis Ratcliff contributed 17 points to move into fifth in program history with 1,585 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals while senior forward Liam Cummiskey registered six points, six rebounds and five assists
- Cutler recorded five points, three assists and a pair of steals while sophomore forward Brave Haugh added three points and three rebounds
- Junior guard Elijah Blackwell and freshman forward Steve Conway both had two points while freshman guards Nico Pulieri and Anthony Schnabel both grabbed two rebounds
- Junior guard Riley Flood pulled down four boards for the Hounds
- The Blue & Grey shot 35-for-72 from the field (48.6 percent), 18-for-42 on three-pointers and 6-for-10 at the foul line. The squad forced the Monarchs into 19 turnovers while committing just 11 miscues
