BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's basketball team set the single game scoring record in the Steel Club Classic with a 113-92 victory over FDU-Florham Monday in the opening round of the 45th Steel Club Classic in Johnston Hall.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds opened the scoring with a pair of free throws from junior guard Joel Baez. Senior guard Porter Kelly added two more free throws for a 4-0 edge before the Devils scored. Senior forward Liam Cummiskey connected on a three-pointer while senior forward Marquis Ratcliff drained a pair of three-pointers around a lay-up from Kelly to make it 15-2 just under six minutes into the contest. The Blue & Grey pushed the edge to 19 points at 25-6 on a three-pointer from senior guard Chad Kratzer at the 11:35 mark, and the Hounds had a 27-10 advantage midway through the first half
- Moravian's edge remained above 13 points for the remainder of the opening half with a late three-pointer from Cummiskey sending the Hounds to the locker room with a 69-47 lead, a season high for points in the opening 20 minutes of the game
