Greyhounds Fall to USMMA in First Road Match of 2026

How It Happened
- The Mariners netted all six goals in the first quarter to lead 6-0 after 15 minutes of action
- USMMA added three tallies to start the second period before junior midfielder Adam Twist got the Greyhounds onto the scoreboard with 10:20 left in the quarter. Freshman long stick midfielder Christian Hantson scored a man-up goal to make it 9-2 before the Mariners ran off three more goals. Junior attack Nick Coffaro tallied a goal with 2:18 left in the half to cut the deficit to 12-3 at the intermission
- Merchant Marine opened the scoring in the third quarter with two goals. Moravian countered with three straight goals as freshman attack Jack Minetti scored twice and freshman attack Bradley Carotenudo added one. The Mariners recorded three more goals to lead 17-6 after 45 minutes of play
- The Hounds tallied three of the four goals scored in the final period with Coffaro and Twist each scoring as well as senior attack Ryan Kokoszka
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had seven players record a point with Coffaro and Minetti each posting two goals and two assists with Minetti scooping up four ground balls
- Twist added two goals while Kokoszka, Carotenudo and Hantson each netted one goal
- Junior short stick defensive midfielder Finn McGovern had one assist and two ground balls
- Sophomore face-off-specialist Owen Deady was 6-for-23 on face-offs with a pair of ground balls while junior long stick midfielder/defender Andrew Cassese was 2-for-8
- Senior defender Mike Sickler added a pair of ground balls
- Junior goalie Liam Kelly recorded 15 saves
