Greyhounds Fall to DeSales in Last Non-Conference Match of 2026
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s lacrosse team fell to visiting DeSales University, 11-5, Wednesday evening on John Makuvek Field as the Hounds played their final non-conference match.

How It Happened
- The Bulldogs scored three times in the first quarter to lead 3-0 after 15 minutes of action
- The Greyhounds opened the scoring in the second quarter with an unassisted goal by junior attack Nick Coffaro, five minutes into the period. DeSales countered with a man-up goal while freshman long stick midfielder Christian Hantson netted a man-up marker from Coffaro with 4:27 on the clock. The Bulldogs scored once more in the final minute of the half to hold a 5-2 edge at the intermission
- The squads traded goals in the third quarter with DeSales scoring three times and the Blue & Grey getting unassisted goals from freshman attack Jack Minetti and junior midfielder Adam Twist to set the score at 8-4 after 45 minutes of play
- Moravian picked up one goal in the fourth quarter as sophomore midfielder Robert Celona found the net off of a Coffaro pass
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had five players record points led by Coffaro, who had a goal and two assists
- Hantson, Minetti, Twist and Celona all had goals
- Sophomore long stick midfielder Jace Schmalz and senior defender Mike Sickler both scooped up four ground balls with Sicker adding a pair of caused turnovers
- Senior short stick defensive midfielder RJ Toogood had three caused turnovers while senior defender James Panico had two ground balls and two caused turnovers and junior short stick defensive midfielder Mike Willis recorded two ground balls
- Junior goalie Liam Kelly contributed 14 saves and four ground balls in the contest
- Sophomore Owen Deady was 6-for-18 on face-offs
