Greyhounds Run Past Dolphins in Non-Conference Action
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s lacrosse squad registered a 17-2 victory over visiting The University of Mount Saint Vincent in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- The Hounds scored just 1:04 into the contest as freshman attack Tyler Bowden took a pass from freshman attack Jack Minetti and put it into the net. Junior attack Nick Coffaro made it 2-0 just about three minutes later off a pass from freshman long stick midfielder Christan Hantson. The Dolphins cut the edge to 2-1 with just over ten minutes left in the first quarter while Minetti had a man-up goal and senior attack Ryan Kokoszka tallied goals in the final seven and a half minutes of the first quarter to give the Blue & Grey a 5-1 edge after 15 minutes of play
- The Greyhounds recorded all six goals scored in the second quarter with Coffaro scoring twice and Minetti, junior midfielder Hunter Klapmuts, freshman midfielder Carter Grant and sophomore long stick midfielder Jace Schmalz each netting one goal to push the advantage to 10-1 at the intermission
- Moravian tacked on five more goals in the third quarter as Minetti scored twice, once with a man down, and Coffaro, Kokoszka and Klapmuts each had one marker to make the lead 15-1 after 45 minutes of action
- Sophomore attack Dominic Houck and junior attack Jay Ashforth each had one goal in the fourth quarter while the Dolphins scored once
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had 12 different players get on the scoresheet with Coffaro recording a career high 11 points on four goals and seven assists while Minetti added four goals, an assist and three ground balls
- Klapmuts and Kokoszka both had two goals with Kokoszka contributing five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers and Klapmuts picked up two ground balls
- Houck, Grant, Bowden, Ashford and Schmalz all netted one goal with Schmalz scooping up two ground balls while Hantson, senior attack Vincent Devito and junior attack Aiden LaCorte each had one assist
- Sophomore face-off specialist Owen Deady was 5-for-12 with a pair of ground balls while freshman Luke Bartnett was 4-for-7 on face-offs
- Junior long stick midfielder Andrew Cassese scooped up four ground balls and had a pair of caused turnovers while senior defender James Panico and junior attack Kyle Gann both had two ground balls
- All four goalies played for the Greyhounds with junior Liam Kelly making six saves in 44 minutes of action. Junior Nick Crames had one stop in six minutes in goal while sophomore Chris Piluso and freshman Rory Jenkins did not make a save in their time in the net
- The Hounds had a 65-22 advantage in shots and went 21-for-25 on clearing attempts
