How It Happened
- The Greyhounds opened the scoring with a goal from junior midfielder Hunter Klapmuts at the 11:34 mark while senior attack Ryan Kokoszka added a goal with 7:07 on the clock. Junior short stick defensive midfielder Finn McGovern extended the edge to 3-0 with just under five minutes to go in the first quarter while Kokoszka scored again less than a minute later. Junior midfielder Adam Twist netted a man-up goal at the 2:34 mark while McGovern finished the first quarter with another goal as the Blue & Grey led 6-0 after 15 minutes of action
- The Eagles began the second quarter with a goal to get onto the scoreboard before freshman attack Jack Minetti scored twice including a man-up goal. Freshman long stick midfielder Christian Hantson added a ma-up goal with just over four minutes to go in the half to make it 9-1 before Juniata scored again. Minetti tallied a fastbreak goal from sophomore long stick midfielder Dylan DeNaples in the final minute of the period to give Moravian a 10-2 advantage at the intermission
- The Hounds outscored the Eagles 5-1 in the third quarter with Minetti scoring twice with one man-up goal. Hantson added another man-up marker while Twist and sophomore face-off specialist Owen Deady each had one goal to make it 15-3 after 45 minutes of play
- Kokoszka, Minetti and junior short stick defensive midfielder Mike Willis all scored once in the fourth quarter for the Greyhounds while Juniata had two goals in the period
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had 11 different student-athletes register a point led by Minetti, who had a career-high six goals and three assists
- Kokoszka finished with three goals, two assists and two ground balls while Twist had two goals, two assists and a pair of ground balls
- McGovern and Twist each netted two goals while Willis had a goal and three ground balls
- Deady posted a goal and nine ground balls while going 13-for-19 on face-offs while Klapmuts had one goal
- Junior attack Nick Coffaro contributed five assists and four ground balls while sophomore midfielder Robert Celona had a pair of assists and DeNaples added an assist
- Junior long stick midfielder Andrew Cassese scooped up two ground balls while freshman defender Peter Miragliotta had two ground balls
- Junior goalie Liam Kelly recorded 11 saves and three ground balls in 46 minutes of action while freshman goalie Rory Jenkins had five saves in the final 14 minutes of the contest
- The Hounds held a 59-42 advantage in shots and a 37-25 edge in ground balls while going 5-for-10 on extra-man opportunities to ties the school record for a single match and 28-for-32 on clearing attempts
