Women’s Volleyball Squad Earns AVCA Team Academic Award for Fourth Straight Year
LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The American Volleyball Coaches Association released a total of 1,350 college, including Moravian University, and high school volleyball teams that received the 2024-5 AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT in the 33rd year of the award.
LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The American Volleyball Coaches Association released a total of 1,350 college, including Moravian University, and high school volleyball teams that received the 2024-5 AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT in the 33rd year of the award.
The award, which began in 1992-93, honors college and high school teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average during the 2024-25 school year.
Moravian earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the fourth straight year and 17th time since the award was started. The Greyhounds and fellow Landmark Conference schools Elizabethtown College, Goucher College, Juniata College, Lycoming College, Susquehanna University and The University of Scranton received the honor for 2024-25.
The Greyhounds, now under the direction of first-year Head Coach Amable Martinez, open their 2025 season on Friday, August 29 at the Elmira (N.Y.) College Invitational.
