Greyhounds Fall to Scranton in Final Home Match of 2025
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s volleyball squad fell to visiting The University of Scranton, 3-0, in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon in Johnston Hall in the Hounds’ final home contest of the 2025 season.

How It Happened
- The Blue & Grey had an early 4-2 lead in the opening set before the Royals took a 5-4 edge. Scranton pushed out to a four-point lead, but Moravian closed within a point at 15-14. However, that would be as close as the Greyhounds would get as the Royals posted a 25-20 set win for a 1-0 advantage
- The Hounds jumped out to another early edge in the second game, up 3-1, before Scranton scored seven of eight points to go up 8-4. Once again, Moravian got within a point at 13-12, but the Royals went on to win the set 25-19 for the 2-0 lead
- Scranton was in control of the third set from the beginning, scoring the first four points and leading 10-3. The Royals posted a 25-16 set win to capture the match
Inside the Numbers
- Junior middle blocker Payton Reuber and freshman middle blocker Morgan Holland both had six kills with Holland adding three blocks and Reuber contributing three digs and a pair of blocks
- Junior outside hitter Gabbie Reigner posted four kills and five digs while junior outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky had three kills and a trio of digs
- Senior outside hitter Caroline Melillo and freshman outside hitter Adi Schwerdtfeger both had two kills while sophomore opposite hitter Ella Kilko added a kill and a dig
- Freshman setter Aubrey Pringle led the Hounds with 13 assists to go with nine digs while senior setter Ally Plitnick registered seven assists, three digs and a kill
- Junior libero Sam Love recorded a team-high 14 digs while junior defensive specialist Molly Hughes had six digs and a pair of assists
