Hounds Split Tri-Match at Dickinson with Pitt-Greensburg
CARLISLE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s volleyball squad split a non-conference tri-match at Dickinson College Saturday, falling 3-0 to the host Red Devils before defeating Pitt-Greensburg, 3-0.

CARLISLE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad split a non-conference tri-match at Dickinson College Saturday, falling 3-0 to the host Red Devils before defeating Pitt-Greensburg, 3-0.
How It Happened - Dickinson
- The Hounds had a 5-1 lead in the opening set against Dickinson before the Red Devils rallied to go up 7-5. Dickinson led the rest of the way in the first game, taking a 1-0 lead with a 25-21 set win
- The Blue & Grey had another early edge in the second set with a 4-3 lead. However, the Red Devils went on to win a 25-14 victory for a 2-0 advantage
- The third set saw Moravian come back from an early deficit to go up 15-13 before Dickinson came back for a 25-18 win to clinch the match
- Junior outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky led the Greyhounds with nine kills to go with four digs while junior outside hitter Gabbie Reigner had six kills and seven digs
- Junior middle blocker Payton Reuber posted five kills while sophomore middle blocker Kate McBrierty had three kills and sophomore opposite hitter Ella Kilko added two kills
- Senior setter Ally Plitnick recorded 16 assists and eight digs while freshman setter Aubrey Pringle had seven assists and a pair of service aces
- Junior libero Sam Love registered 13 digs while junior defensive specialist Molly Hughes contributed nine digs and sophomore defensive specialist Madalyn Kocsis had three digs
How It Happened – Pitt-Greensburg
- Moravian controlled the opening set against the Panthers, 25-13, to take a 1-0 lead
- Pitt-Greensburg had a 5-0 edge to start the second game, and the Panthers led 11-5 before the Greyhounds rallied to go ahead 17-14. The Blue & Grey eventually captured the set 25-20 for a 2-0 edge
- The Hounds led the entire third set, posting a 25-17 win to sweep the match
- McBrierty recorded a team-high eight kills to go with three digs while freshman Lauren Donnelly added seven kills, eight digs and five service aces
- Senior outside hitter Caroline Melillo posted six kills and four digs while freshman middle blocker Morgan Holland registered five kills and three blocks
- Reigner had four kills and two digs while Reuber contributed three kills and two digs and freshman outside hitter Adi Schwerdtfeger had three kills
- Pringle led the offense with 20 kills to go with three digs and three service aces while Plitnick had ten assists
- Love recorded 15 digs to become the 16th player in school history to reach 1,000 career digs while Kocsis had three digs and two assists
