Moravian Tops Immaculata in Four Sets
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s volleyball squad topped visiting Immaculata University, 3-1, in non-conference action in Johnston Hall Thursday evening.

How It Happened
- The Mighty Macs had an early 4-2 lead in the opening set, and Immaculata stretched the edge to 13-7. The Greyhounds came back to knot the score at 14-14, but the Mighty Macs pulled away to go up 24-20. Moravian tied the set again at 24-24 before Immaculata went on to win 28-26 and take a 1-0 lead
- The Hounds raced out to a 5-1 edge to begin the second set, and the Blue & Grey would be in the lead the entire way, taking the game 25-15 to even the contest at 1-1
- Immaculata jumped out to a 6-1 advantage in the third set, and the Mighty Macs held a 17-11 lead. Moravian slowly climbed back and tied the set at 22-22. The squads traded points until the Greyhounds eventually posted a 30-28 set victory to take a 2-1 lead
- The fourth set was close early before the Hounds opened up a 12-8 edge. Immaculata closed within 12-10 before Moravian took control and went on to a 25-18 set win to clinch the match
Inside the Number
- Junior middle blocker Payton Reuber had ten kills and four blocks for the Blue & Grey while junior outside hitter Gabbie Reigner also had ten kills to go with nine digs and a pair of service aces
- Sophomore middle blocker Kate McBrierty posted nine kills and six blocks while sophomore opposite hitter Ella Kilko had six kills, five blocks and three digs
- Junior outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky registered five kills and five digs while freshman setter Aubrey Pringle had 22 assists, 10 digs, four kills and two service aces
- Junior libero Sam Love led Moravian with 16 digs, six service aces and five assists while senior setter Ally Plitnick had seven assists, five digs, two blocks and a kill
- Sophomore defensive specialist Emma Granger recorded three service aces while junior defensive specialist Molly Hughes had five digs and junior defensive specialist Morgan Hughes added three digs
