How It Happened
- The Rangers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a solo home run
- The Greyhounds answered in the bottom of the second with a pair of runs to take a 2-1 edge. Freshman third baseman Troy Rabosky led off with an infield single, and sophomore right fielder Matt Westcott drew a walk. After a double steal and an out, graduate student catcher Connor Wengryn ripped a two-RBI single up the middle to score Rabosky and Westcott
- Drew retook the lead with a five-run third inning, and the Rangers added five runs in the fourth and four more runs in the fifth for a 15-2 advantage
- The Blue & Grey scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to pull within 15-6. Graduate student David Olsakowski led off the frame with a solo home run to left field, his first homer of the season and fourth of his career. Freshman shortstop David Vozzo drew a walk before graduate student Cole Cherkas launched a two-run homer over the scoreboard in right field. The home run was the fifth of the season for Cherkas and the 13th of career to move into a tie for fourth in program history. Sophomore first baseman Wyatt Harrar followed with a single, and he eventually raced home on an RBI single by freshman second baseman Nathan Jones
- Drew scored three runs in the top of the seventh for the Landmark Conference run rule to end the game after seven instead of the scheduled nine innings
