Wegscheider Named Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior Heidi Wegscheider from the Moravian University’s women’s golf team has been named as the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior Heidi Wegscheider from the Moravian University's women's golf team has been named as the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Wegscheider carded the lowest round in program history in the second round of the two-day Golden Oaks Shootout hosted by Arcadia University last Monday with a two-over par round of 74 that included three birdies and 11 pars. Wegscheider finished in a tie for fourth of the 46 golfers with a 36-hole total of 157. She had an opening round of 83 as she recorded two birdies and eight pars in her first round.
The women's golf squad is slated to return to action on Sunday, October 19 in a dual match with Wilkes University beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
The Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week is selected on Mondays by Moravian's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Sodexo will be giving each week's winner a free Starbucks drink at DeLight's Café.
