BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at its 2024-25 athletic campaign. The sixth entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 5 highlight – junior pitcher/outfielder Sarah DeStefano being selected as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Second Team All-American and the Bethlehem (Pa.) Regional Most Outstanding Player.

The sixth entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 5 highlight – junior pitcher/outfielder Sarah DeStefano being selected as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Second Team All-American and the Bethlehem (Pa.) Regional Most Outstanding Player.
DeStefano helped the Greyhounds to a 40-9 record this season as the Blue & Grey tied the school record for victories and reached the postseason for the 30th straight spring with the Hounds earning the top seed in the 2025 Landmark Conference Tournament after a 13-3 mark in the conference's regular season. Moravian captured its 12th Landmark Conference title and made its 21st trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament this year with the Hounds hosting an NCAA Regional for the second straight year at Blue & Grey Field. The Hounds captured their seventh NCAA Division III Regional title and went on to the program's fourth NCAA Division III Super Regional, hosting for the first time.
This spring, DeStefano was honored as the Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Year while making All-Conference First Team as well as the NFCA All-Region V First Team. DeStefano is a two-time NCAA Division III Regional Most Outstanding Player, garnering the award at the 2025 Bethlehem (Pa.) and 2023 Medford (Mass.) Regionals.
DeStefano recorded a 1.07 earned run average this season in the circle with a 22-4 record, 10 shutouts, a save, 24 complete games and 142 strikeouts in 177, and she had a .392 batting average this season with 31 hits, six doubles, two triples and 21 RBIs at the plate. She also had 33 putouts and 49 assists in 82 chances in the field this spring.
